A few specific fixes for pembridgesolicitors.co.uk

Pembridge Solicitors · Calderwood House, 7 Montpellier Parade, Cheltenham · website rebuild

I rebuild small-business sites in my spare time when I can see they are leaving conversions on the table. I spent half an hour on pembridgesolicitors.co.uk on a phone with mobile data and on a laptop, then cross-checked the Yoast schema, the SRA register entry for 625038, the 33 published ReviewSolicitors reviews, and the Companies House record. Three things stood out, all of them about a ten-year Cheltenham practice at one of the most distinctive Regency addresses in the country making itself harder to find than its work is to do.

01

The homepage hero is a stock photo of an anonymous male hand signing a contract, and the LinkedIn or WhatsApp unfurl is the same stock shot.

What I saw

The hero image on pembridgesolicitors.co.uk is a generic Yoast-flagged stock JPG at /wp-content/uploads/2025/04/a-man-signs-a-contrac-legal-or-business-agreements-male-hand-with-pen-makes-notes--1024x668.jpg, and the same file is the og:image, so any client forwarding the link to a partner in WhatsApp or sharing on LinkedIn sees the same anonymous male hand and a Yoast-style preview card. Every other Yoast-managed law firm in Cheltenham uses an interchangeable variant of the same shot. The thing that actually distinguishes Pembridge in Cheltenham (Calderwood House on Montpellier Parade, with the Regency Caryatids forty yards away) is invisible.

What the rebuild does about it

After rebuild: the hero is anchored to the Montpellier Parade address itself, not a stock contract. The og:image is a hosted Montpellier-stone composition with the wordmark legible at WhatsApp thumbnail size, so the link looks like it came from a firm with an address rather than a Yoast template. Same firm, same eight practice areas, anchored visually to the street the office is on.

02

The structured data declares Pembridge as a generic Organization with no address, no telephone, no opening hours, and no LegalService classification.

What I saw

Yoast emits one JSON-LD graph on the homepage: a WebPage, a WebSite, an Organization with name and logo, and a single Image. There is no LegalService or Attorney @type, no PostalAddress, no telephone, no openingHoursSpecification, no founder, no member, no SRA identifier, and no aggregateRating despite 33 published 5-star ReviewSolicitors reviews and a further 13 on Solicitors.com. Google's "solicitors near me" pack for GL50 is currently filled by older Cheltenham firms whose schema is correct, not by the higher-rated ones. The og:locale on the same page is en_US, which is the Yoast default that was never switched to en_GB.

What the rebuild does about it

After rebuild: a single LegalService and Attorney graph with the full Calderwood House postal address, the 0330 telephone in E.164, opening hours for every day including the Saturday morning, founder and member Person records for Pem and Hampden with their SRA IDs, hasCredential entries for SRA organisation 625038 and SRA solicitor IDs, an aggregateRating block citing the 33 ReviewSolicitors reviews, and a FAQPage block of the five real client questions. og:locale corrected to en_GB.

03

The Saturday 09:00 to 13:00 opening is the single most distinctive thing about Pembridge versus the older Cheltenham firms and it is mentioned only as a line of body copy on the contact page.

What I saw

Most Cheltenham high-street solicitors close at 17:00 on Friday and stay closed until Monday. Pembridge is staffed at reception 09:00 to 13:00 every Saturday. That fact appears on /contact-us as the seventh line of an hours block. It does not appear in the meta description, it does not appear above the fold on the homepage, it is not in the openingHoursSpecification (because there is no openingHoursSpecification), and it is not mentioned in the eight practice-area landing pages. A client searching at 22:00 on a Friday after a road traffic accident or a police-station call cannot tell from the site that the firm is reachable the next morning.

What the rebuild does about it

After rebuild: Saturday 09:00 to 13:00 sits in the trust bar at the top of every page, in the hero eyebrow, in the meta description, in the openingHoursSpecification (the right way, as a separate range), and in the FAQ. The visit card spells it out next to the address: "Saturday morning, walk-ins welcome; the rest of Cheltenham is closed."
